Having received the 1999 ARIA award for Jazz Artist of the Year and completing a successful Canadian tour in 1998 in support of his second CD Keeping the Spirit, Kent Sangster has established himself as a major figure on the Canadian Jazz scene. Kent has formed his first large ensemble to pay tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra; his orchestra features some of the finest jazz musicians Alberta has to offer, including the wonderful vocal talent of Don Aubin. This special event orchestra is sure to be a polished show and certainly should not be missed!!!!!!

"An admirer of Frank Sinatra since Don was very young, it was this absolute love of the music that convinced Don to finally perform a tribute to one of his idols. A veteran of pop music for over 20 years, Don has performed all over Canada, as well as in Europe and the Middle East. You may have seen Don as well in numerous theatre productions, including Edmonton's Mayfield Inn in 6 different musicals, including his uncanny tribute to "NeilDiamond" in the 1996 production of "Starstruck - Legends of Rock & Roll)". This ability to mimic other artists comes naturally to Don, but Sinatra was one performer which he wanted to wait on until his own voice had matured enough to bring the passion and flavor that he felt he had to have to do justice to "some of the greatest lyrics and music ever written for a singer". Don hopes you all enjoy this collection of songs as much as he enjoys performing them.
